Keep Your Composure
If you don’t let people know where your goat is tied, you can always keep your composure.
What do I mean by this? I mean we all have a goat, the things that make us tick, lose our cool and lack emotional control. But, the most important thing is for us to be able to keep our crap together because it is inevitable that it is going to hit the fan.
When we are speaking on a platform such as social media keeping our composure is essential. If we sit back and directly rant about a person and put them on blast all it does is show that you lack the emotional control. This is something our parents didn’t have to learn growing up as they did not have social media.
Let’s say you walk into a stadium in front of 40,000 people and someone hands you a microphone. Now, all of the things you complained about on social media is what you have to say into the microphone. So, at this point you have about 40,000 eye balls staring at you. How bizarre would that be to make a complaint in that setting. So, use composure when you share things on social media. You can share your lessons but keep your composure.
